Gene was born and raised here in Hawkins County and has spent over 40 years answering calls of those in need while working in public safety, (fire. rescue, and law enforcement).

 

He is currently an investigator with the State of Tennessee Public Defenders Office and is the CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) with Cobb & Company, LLC, a business consulting group.

 

Over the years Gene has volunteered numerous hours helping the people of this community. He is currently a board member of the Volunteer Firefighter Alliance and CASA for Kids, Inc. both non-profit organizations.
